This is the old JB German Bakery and Restaurant. This place has good tasting food and proportions. A bit expensive $$$. Though has some great pastries and bead treats. I got the club sandwich, it was good accept the bread was a bit hard. I got sweet potato fries with it and they were great. I also got a chocolate schnitzel. I've yet to taste it but it looks oh so yummy. Great staff and friendly. I would recommend to others to check it out. CORRECTION ON BOGO THURSDAYS-ITS BUY ONE GET ONE 1/2 OFF ON SCHNITZELS.

We went to the Artisan Hause Bakery & Bistro(previously known as JB’s German Restaurant and Bakery) and wow! I personally grew up eating at a local German restaurant in central Texas and this place brought back so many memories. We had called in advance to make a reservation for 7- wasn’t truly needed when we came in, but it was still very nice to walk in and have a table ready. When we came in, our waitress was very attentive and took care of our drinks quickly. She came back and got order in quickly too, and she pre-warned us that there was another large group so the food may take a little longer, hence getting our order in quickly. We did have a bit of a wait for food, but we knew that before hand so absolutely no complaints there as the food came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! I had the twisted schnitzel and man oh man- it was delicious. The schnitzel was cooked to perfection, the sidewinder fries were perfectly crispy and the spätzel was so yummy! It did get very busy in there very quickly so our waitress did get a bit overwhelmed(the only reason for the 4 star) so we had to wait quite a while for refills and our check at the end. Once we paid our bill, all 7 of us

We had a wonderful experience! The kids absolutely loved the food and left with full bellies and happy smiles (and a few messy faces, which is always a sign they enjoyed it). The mozzarella triangles were an amazing appetizer—crispy, delicious, and with an impressive cheese pull. Dinner was outstanding as well. Everything was flavorful, well-prepared, and served hot. A special thank you to our server, who was incredibly patient with our indecisive crew. He took the time to explain the menu thoroughly, answer our questions, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. Great service can make all the difference, and he definitely helped make our experience a great one. We’ll definitely be back! My party of 9 were all impressed!

I wish we lived closer! My mom is a German immigrant and this is the closest authentic German bakery I have come across. The staff are super friendly. The breads are made fresh everyday. The Strudel is authentic. And now they are open til 9 pm’s and serving dinner. Can not wait to try out dinner later this week!

Today we came back here. Last time we came by ourselves, and this time we brought some friends because we really enjoyed it on our previous visit. It was definitely worth it. The service was just as excellent, and we were actually served by the same person as last time. They haven’t lost their quality, which was something we were a bit concerned about. They also allow pets in the outdoor seating area. Overall, it’s a great place for a relaxed and family-friendly brunch. They also offer a variety of delicious pastries. If you’re in Corpus Christi, this place is definitely worth a visit
